Shikshaa Matriculation Higher secondary school, one of the sought-after schools in Chromepet, formerly Sri Rama Krishna Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher secondary school was founded on 11th June 1992 by his Holiness Shri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejwar Mutt, Udipi. The objective of establishing this Institution is to provide quality education to underprivileged students in English medium under CBSE pattern. In the year 2000, upon the request from our students, parents and well-wishers, the school got affiliated to matriculation board up to X std. The school was upgraded to Higher secondary in the year 2002. The school management was taken over by the current board of directors in the year 2005 and was named as ‘Shikshaa Matriculation Higher Secondary School’. Currently the school follows “Samacheer Kalvi” (Equitable education system) with English as the medium of instruction.

The school is led by the president Mr. N. Ranjit B.Tech (IIT, Madras) M.B.A (Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta). He was awarded KR memorial Gold medal for securing first rank in IIT. He also received numerous additional honours including the Hindustan lever scholarship and Roll of Honour in IIM. A very positive personality endowed with business acumen and zeal to accomplish.

The school is professionally managed by Mrs. R. Kanchana M.Sc, M.Phil, the secretary and correspondent of the school. Being the District topper in the SSLC Examination, she continued to be the University topper in M. Sc & M. Phil as well.
